Benefit to Premarital Counseling

It can be an exciting time while planning a wedding with the one you want to spend the rest of your life with. Statistically, couples that do some form of Premarital assessment and/or counseling are 31% less likely to divorce. Not only that, couples who participate in pre-marriage programs experience a 30% increase in marital success and fulfillment over those who do not participate.

Premarital is not Couples Counseling

April does not offer couples or marital counseling. If she determines you and your partner would benefit from seeing a couples specialist after the assessment process is finished, she will give you a list of referrals to reach out to.

Because it helps couples quickly get to the heart of the matter and provides a myriad of conversation points to work with.

Fees & Insurance Information

Insurance does not cover premarital counseling. The reason for this is because insurance requires a diagnosis for why you're attending counseling. Premarital sessions are not mental health counseling sessions and I do not diagnose you during premarital sessions. My fee for premarital sessions are $120 per sessions. There is a $35 assessment fee that is mandatory in order to do premarital counseling with me.
