Associate Level Therapists
You don't have to wait weeks to be seen!
I supervise Associate level therapists who have been trained and received their Associate license from the Texas State Board of Licensed Counselors and Marriage and Family Therapists. Associate therapists are able to see you, your teen or your family at a discounted rate while also having more schedule flexibility. The benefit of seeing an Associate level therapist is that I have eyes on all the cases they see. This means, in a way, you get two therapists for a discounted price. I offer all my expertise and knowledge to my Associates on a weekly basis and consult with them on their cases each week. I only take on Associates who I believe are capable, wise, and ethical! I will vouch for each one of them!
Get to know them below and if you're interested in booking with them, click their contact button to request an appointment! Please be sure to check their locations as some of them are not in Parker County. However, all of them offer virtual appointments to any clients who live in Texas.

Meet The Associates

Kelsey Pickard, LPC-Associate
Hi, I’m Kelsey Pickard, a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate (LPC-A) in Texas. I’m passionate about creating a space where teens and young adults feel comfortable being themselves, without fear of judgment or pressure to “have it all together.”
I know life can feel overwhelming sometimes. Maybe you’re constantly overthinking, struggling with anxiety, feeling emotionally drained, dealing with difficult relationships, or carrying pressure from school, work, family, or expectations you’ve placed on yourself. Maybe you feel stuck, misunderstood, disconnected from who you are, or like you’re always trying to keep up while quietly falling apart inside. You don’t have to navigate that alone.
My goal is to help you feel heard, supported, and understood while we work together to make sense of what you’re experiencing. Therapy with me is not about “fixing” you, because you are not broken. It’s about helping you better understand yourself, build healthy coping skills, strengthen your confidence, and create changes that feel realistic and meaningful for your life.
I use a trauma-informed and strengths-based approach, pulling from evidence-based practices while tailoring therapy to your individual needs and personality. I want therapy to feel like a collaborative and supportive experience where you can show up exactly as you are.
I especially enjoy working with teens and young adults who may be struggling with:
-
Anxiety and constant overthinking
-
Stress and burnout
-
Low self-esteem or self-doubt
-
Emotional regulation and feeling “too emotional”
-
Relationship challenges and communication struggles
-
Setting boundaries without guilt
-
Feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected
-
Navigating identity, confidence, and self-worth
I’m also passionate about helping people figure out who they are, what they want out of life, and what direction feels right for them. Whether you’re 18, 30, or 60, it’s never too late to question what you want to be “when you grow up.” Together, we can explore your goals, values, passions, and the things that truly matter to you while working through the fear, pressure, or uncertainty that can come with figuring it all out.
I’m especially passionate about supporting individuals with ADHD and helping them learn how to work with their brain instead of constantly feeling like they have to fight against it. ADHD is not a character flaw or something that makes you “less than.” While it can come with challenges, it can also bring creativity, passion, intuition, and unique strengths that deserve to be understood and embraced. My goal is to help clients build tools that support their daily lives while also recognizing the value in how their minds work.
In addition to my counseling background, I bring over 10 years of experience in Human Resources and leadership support. That experience has given me a deeper understanding of burnout, workplace stress, communication patterns, difficult relationships, and the pressure many people feel trying to balance everything at once. It allows me to approach therapy with both empathy and practical insight.
Outside of therapy, I value authenticity, personal growth, and creating genuine connections with others. I see therapy as a partnership, and my role is to walk alongside you with compassion, curiosity, and encouragement as you move toward healing, growth, and feeling more like yourself again.

Whether you’re experiencing ongoing conflict or a quiet sense of disconnection, you don’t have to navigate it alone. I offer a warm presence as we work together toward lasting, meaningful change in your relationships.
I support individuals (13+), couples, and families with addressing emotional reactivity, rebuilding trust in relationships, and creating new ways of relating to the people who matter most. Together, we can uncover what may be getting in the way of the closeness and security you’re longing for in your relationships.
I am a systemically trained clinician practicing primarily from an Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) lens. While also integrating mindfulness techniques and inner child work into therapy, I offer support in building self-regulation skills and cultivating deeper insight into how past experiences may be shaping present patterns—often outside of your awareness.
While specializing in relationship issues and difficult family dynamics, I am also here to support additional areas including anxiety, self-esteem and body image related concerns, life transitions, and caregiver support.
If you’re ready for things to feel different but aren’t sure where to start, I would be honored to connect with you.

I take a holistic, strengths-based, and solution-focused approach to therapy. My work is client-centered and integrative, drawing from Humanistic, Psychodynamic, CBT, and Narrative therapies. I believe in the importance of a strong therapeutic relationship and work collaboratively with clients to help them build confidence, motivation, and meaning.
Starting counseling can feel overwhelming, especially when you’re already struggling. You may feel unsure of where to begin or disconnected from yourself or those around you. I strive to create a supportive, collaborative space where clients feel comfortable taking that first step toward change.

Shawn Casey, LMFT-Associate
Life is complicated. Relationships are hard. And most of us were never taught how to do any of this — how to fight fair with our partner, how to actually connect with a teenager who's pulling away, how to hold a family together when everyone is running on empty.
Most people don't reach out to a therapist until things have been hard for a long time. If that's you — welcome. You're not too late.
I'm Shawn Casey, a Marriage and Family Therapist Associate working with couples, families, and parents who are tired of going in circles and ready for something to actually change. My own family experiences shaped the kind of therapist I became — someone who doesn't believe in pretending things are fine, but also doesn't believe people are broken. Most of us are just doing the best we can with what we were given. Therapy is where we figure out how to do better.
I specialize in the relationships that matter most — marriages under strain, parent-child dynamics that have broken down, and families trying to find their way back to each other. If you're parenting a teen who feels like a stranger, or a couple who's more roommates than partners, this is a good place to start.
Dads and husbands who wouldn't normally set foot in a therapist's office are especially welcome here. No judgment, no couch-confession vibes — just real work with someone who genuinely wants to see your family thrive.
